I've Found It!!!
I found that short story I wrote a few years back when I thought I would have to quit WoW for good. Yeah that one, the one I asked X to try and find in the old Phalanx of Ook site files. It has been sitting unnoticed in one of my folders in one of my emails! I've attached it to this message in case you want to read it. It's not as good as I remembered though

It's kind of funny that I find it today too because my WoW account will go cold tomorrow and I will not be able to reactivate it for who knows how long.
I started my master's degree this week so, with that and the job i hope to find, there will not be time for WoW (probably not even Cataclysm 
). This might actually be an opportunity for me to get back to console gaming or start looking at those $5 or $10 games Obiter is always ranting and raving about 
.
In any case, I first have to learn to balance school work, job, and girlfriend before I can get into any sort of gaming again.

At long last I finally got myself a new computer!!111! w00t!
I completely overcompensated for having stared at my increasingly dim and rather cramped 15" MacBook Pro screen for the last four and a half years, and decided to pick up a 27" iMac. Quadcore i5 2.8GHz processor, 4GB DDR1333 RAM, 1GB ATi 5750 graphics, and a native resolution of 2560x1440.
Got it at a 15% discount too because my cuz works at the AppleStore. Bonus.
I resubscribed to WoW just to see how it would run. Standing in the busiest parts of Dalaran I sustain 60-70FPS and get like 140FPS if I'm inside a building or instance. Keep in mind this is running at a rez of 2560x1440 with all settings maxed and 4xAA. If I stare at a wall I seem to cap out at 180FPS. I'm enjoying way more detail and sitting with the 27" screen right in front of my face gives a pretty good sense of immersion.
